Staying home when you are sick is one of the best ways to fight COVID-19. Please monitor your child for signs of illness every morning before leaving for school, and keep them home if they show symptoms.
- We ask that families answer these screening questions from the MN Department of Health each time before they send students to school, child care, or another youth program.
Keeping sick children and children who are exposed to COVID-19 away from others helps to stop the spread of the virus to other children, staff, and the surrounding community.

This document from the MN Department of Health outlines symptoms of COVID-19, and when your student may be considered a close contact and need to stay home.
Here are other important practices for all of us to follow to prevent the spread of COVID-19, help keep ourselves and each other healthy, and keep our schools open:-
Practice regular hand washing or use hand sanitizer often
-
Keep hands away from our eyes, nose, and mouth
-
Wear face coverings (masks) in school buildings and on buses (having an extra in your child's backpack is always a good idea!)
- Stay 6 feet away from people from different households
