Early Childhood Screening
Early Childhood Screening, conducted at Pike Lake Education Center in New Brighton, is a quick and simple check of how your child is growing and developing. Screening can detect possible health or learning concerns, so that children can get help before they start kindergarten. We recommend that children attend screening at 3 1/2 years of age.
At the screening appointment, a licensed early childhood teacher checks vision, hearing, height and weight, large and small muscle skills, thinking, language and communication skills and social and emotional development.
