Did you know that Valentine Hills depends on funding we receive based on the number of families that qualify for educational benefits (formerly known as free & reduced).  For the 22-23 school year, 47.5%  of our students qualified for educational benefits.  Recent legislation  is now allowing us to offer free breakfast and lunch for ALL students.  As a result of this, many families are choosing to not apply for educational benefits.

This is how the Valentine Hills’ Community benefits:

• Staffing for EL & Intervention Teachers

• Staffing Supervisory Paras during breakfast, lunch,& recess

• Funds for educational software for students to use at school such as Flocabulary & Reading A to Z.

• Professional Development for Staff 

• Culture Night & ISI (Instructional Social Interaction) Events

This is how you benefit if your family qualifies:

• Previously received free or reduced meal prices

• Free busing if under 2 miles

• Free or reduced internet fees

• Free or Reduced Band/Orchestra Instrument Rental fees

• Families with older students can also receive free or reduced fees on school activities, test fees & college applications

• Free Snack Pack Program
